Our fertilizer balls ensure a continuous supply of essential minerals right from the start – from germination to harvest.
They were developed specifically for the grow market and are ideal for extended absences: No more constant re-fertilizing. Outdoor plants also benefit, as the nutrients aren't washed out even during extended periods of rain.
Our balls are also particularly suitable for automatic systems where repotting is not required.
We are currently working on a self-test system that can be used to determine the exact mineral requirements in the substrate.
This and many other innovations are already being planned – for better, more natural plant cultivation.

Gründung und Anfangsjahre (1991 - 1997)

1991: Die Zoohandlung Günther wurde von Hannelore Günther in Brand-Erbisdorf/Sachsen gegründet. Das Unternehmen startete ursprünglich als reine Zoohandlung mit Angeschlossenen Futtermittelhandel, das Ziel war es, zwei Standbeine zu erarbeiten.

1994: Nach anfänglichen Herausforderungen konnte das Unternehmen seinen ersten bedeutenden Auftrag mit JBL GmbH & Co. KG Neuhofen abschließen.

Wachstum und Expansion (1997 - heute)

1997: Partnerschaft mit JBL GmbH & Co. KG sowie der Narva Leuchstoff GmbH, um internationale Märkte zu erschließen.

1997: Der Großhandel der Zoohandlung Günther expandiert und eröffnet eine zweite Niederlassung in Industriegebiet Nord / Brand-Erbisdorf.

1997: Einführung der Leuchstoffröhren bei JBL internationale Absatz in 64 Ländern.

2003: Eröffnung des ersten Onlineshop bei eBay , das schnell zur Schließung des lokalen Ladengeschäftes führte.
Technologische Innovation (2012 - 2013)

2012: Ausbau des Standordes mach eigenen Bedürfnissen. Ausbau der Arbeitsplätze.

2013: Einführung einer digitalen Druckstrecke zum drucken von bis zu 3 Zeilen.

2013 Zurückverlagerung von externen Zulieferer der kompletten Langzeitfutterstrecke von JBL in das eigene Refugium.
Krisen und Herausforderungen (2009-heute)

2009 - 2019 liefen die Geschäfte ruhig und geordnet

2020: Die verordnetten Lockdowns in Deutschland führten zu einen Sprunghaften Anstieg der Nachfrage.

2022: Verbot der Leuchstofflampe durch die EU sowie zusammenbruch der Zoo Brache wegen gestiegenen Energiekosten.
Neuausrichtung und Nachhaltigkeit (2021 - heute)

2021: Zoo Günther verpflichtet sich zu nachhaltigen Geschäftsmodellen und führt eine neue Umweltstrategie ein.

2021: Einstieg von Maik Günther, in die Aqua & Hydroponic. Erste Versuchsanlagen wurden gebaut.

2022: Ausbau des Internetgeschäftes auf IndoorGrow Produkte sowie Ausbau der Beratungstätigkeit.

2024: Hannelore Günther geht in Ihren verdienten Ruhestand und feiert ihr 33-jähriges Jubiläum und beschäftigte bis heute über 50 Mitarbeiter .
